Behind The Scene-nya Shaun The Sheep

Shaun The Sheep pertama kali muncul di televisi pada tahun 1995 dalam film A Close Shave dengan karakter Wallace dan Gromit anjing. Durasinya hanya empat menit tetapi membuat orang banyak menyukainya. Dan sejak itu, Shaun memiliki acara TV sendiri di BBC yg dibuat oleh studio produksi Aardman.

Berikut beberapa hal menarik dari proses pembuatan ‘Behind The Scene’ animasi Shaun The Sheep :

1. Pembuatan Storytime

Sebuah episode bermula dari ide cerita yang sederhana. Ide tersebut diserahkan pada tim scriptwiters untuk diolah menjadi cerita yang bagus.

Kemudian diserahkan pada storyboard artist untuk membuat story linenya, tahap ini juga membantu set dressers, prop-makers, model-makers, riggers dan cameramen untuk mempersiapkan pengambilan gambar dan apa saja yang diperlukan.

2. Persiapan Scene

Rumput di pertanian dibeli dari hobby center, dicat hijau untuk mendapatkan corak rumput yang pas, ditambah dengan rumput ilalang dan bunga aster.
Gumpalan kecil hitam juga disebar untuk mendapatkan efek kotoran domba.
Rumput ini kemudian dibentangkan di atas baja berlubang untuk mendapatkan pondasi yang bagus. Animator kemudian dapat menggunakan magnet untuk menjaga karakter di tempat, dan menggunakan baja untuk memasang pohon, rumah pertanian, gudang dan bagian lainnya dari set tersebut tetap pada tempatnya.

3. Pembuatan Model

Model-makers membuat domba dengan terlebih membentuk badan, kemudian membungkus tubuh mereka dengan wool putih. Bulu tersebut kemudian dikotori sedikit dan kaki yang terbuat dari silikon ditambahakan. akhir kepala yg dapat dipasang-lepas dipasang dibadan.

“Kami memiliki sejumlah badan, beberapa mempunyai empat kaki, dan beberapa hanya dua, tergantung pada scene,” kata Chris.

4. Propping Up

Property maker dipanggil untuk membuat segalanya dari handuk pantai berukuran domba, untuk mainan mandi untuk Timmy, dan bahkan meja untuk adegan sihir.

Prop maker Helen Javes berkata: “Semuanya dibuat manual, sehingga sangat rumit. “Bahkan kaki meja dibuat manual untuk mendapatkan bentuk yang tepat.” Tetapi pekerjaan prop maker bukan tanpa risiko. Jari teriris pisau tajam, dan terbakar akibat panas dari lem adalah resiko pekerjaan sehari-hari.

5. Ekspresi Mata

Mata domba memiliki lubang kecil sehingga mereka dapat dimanipulasi untuk membuat mereka melihat ke kiri, kanan, atas, bawah.

Setiap animator juga memiliki puluhan kelopak mata khusus buatan – potongan kecil dari plastisin berbentuk kubah ungu yang dapat ditambahkan ke bola mata membuat berkedip domba, atau terlihat mengantuk.

Karena domba-domba itu tidak berbicara, mereka menggunakan ekspresi untuk menceritakan kisah atau memberikan momen komedi . “kelopak mata merka adalah siksaan bagi animator mata”.

6. Penyimpanan

Bila tidak digunakan, domba dan potongan domba dapat ditemukan disimpan dalam di rak di antara ruangan studio di Aardman.

Ada di sini bahwa animator dapat menemukan kaki cadang untuk Shaun, sedikit bulu ekstra, atau satu atau dua domba yg rusak!

7. Komedi Slapstik

Terlepas dari beberapa embikan dari Shaun dan teman-temannya, gongongan dari Bitzer dan dengusan dari Petani, Shaun and the sheep adalah serial TV diam.
Tetapi sementara Gromit memiliki suara Wallace untuk menjaga cerita terjadi dalam film-film mereka, Shaun tidak memiliki kemewahan itu.

“Lebih mudah untuk menganimasikannya karena lip-sync adalah salah satu aspek yang paling memakan waktu untuk animator,” ujar Chris.

8. Sabar dan Teliti

Karakter dalam Shaun and the sheep bergerak 25 kali per detik, berarti animator harus mengatur ulang adegan 1.500 kali hanya satu menit dari rekaman.
Mereka rata-rata menyelesaikan tujuh detik rekaman/harinya.

sepertinya tidak begitu banyak, tetapi bila dibandingkan dengan Wallace and Gromit: The Curse of The Were-Rabbit and Chicken Run, mereka bekerja dengan kecepatan sangat tinggi.

Wallace dan Gromit rata-rata menghasilkan sekitar tiga detik rekaman/harinya.

Cameron Mitchell, who kind of looks like a guy version of Taylor Swift, waltzes into ‘The Glee Project‘ with his Texas-sized nerd-itude in hopes that his confidence will lend him to a spot on ‘Glee.’

Cameron, a 21-year-old Texas boy, is a natural musician with natural talents, and hasn’t taken any classes to hone his skills. He’s an artist in his own right, and doesn’t care who is judging him as long as he’s being himself. “When I sing or when I perform, or when I do a funky dance, I’m not technical, I’m not trained, but you know, I’m not afraid to look like a fool every now and then,” he admits, before busting out the ‘Stanky Leg.’ He adds, “I consider myself a pretty big nerd, and that’s something that I embrace whether it’s my style or my songwriting.”

In addition to his talents, Cameron has certainly honed his hipster/nerd chic style, but it’s passion that will guide him to the finish line when he competes against 11 others for a running role in ‘Glee’ Season 3 this summer. “I feel like my confidence is what gives me an edge, it’s my passion for the music,” Cameron says. “Living out loud to me is truly being yourself, just being who you are. What sets you apart when odds are against you is personality.”

Dunia Harry Potter sudah di buka untuk Muggles!

Lebih dari sepuluh tahun terakhir, eksotika dunia Harry Potter telah menyihir jutaan penggemar di dunia. Kini, keajaiban itu bukan hanya milik penyihir saja, karena gerbang pembatas dunia muggle dan penyihir akan segera dibuka!

Seperti dilansir dari Dailymail, Warner Bros akan segera membuka sebuah taman hiburan yang diberi nama studio 'The Making of Harry Potter'. Walaupun baru akan dibuka pada 31 Maret mendatang, namun antusias warga setempat sudah sangat tampak.

Dalam bangunan seluas 150.000 kaki persegi ini, pengunjung bakal bisa menikmati suasana yang benar-benar mirip dengan yang ada di sekuel film HARRY POTTER. Tak hanya bisa menikmati suasana di dalam sekolah sihir Hogwarts, pengunjung juga bisa menikmati hiruk pikuk di Diagon Alley, dan sejumlah lokasi yang banyak dibahas dalam petualangan si bocah sihir.

Tak hanya berjalan-jalan menikmati asyiknya dunia sihir, pengunjung juga bisa mendaftarkan diri sebagai siswa di sekolah sihir ternama tersebut. Tanpa harus melewati topi seleksi, siapapun bisa memilih asrama mana yang diinginkan (Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclawdan Slytherin).

Uniknya, setiap pengunjung juga bisa menjajal sapu terbang dan sejumlah kendaraan lain seperti For Anglia dan Bus Ksatria. Petualangan itu semakin dibuat lengkap dengan seragam khas siswa Hogwarts, lengkap dengan tongkat sihirnya.

Museum sekaligus tempat hiburan yang unik tentunya akan menjadi primadona yang ditunggu-tunggu Potter Mania. Tiket masuk direncanakan sekitar £83 untuk setiap keluarga. Namun harga itu tentu saja sebanding dengan kepuasan yang diperoleh pengunjungnya.

Sekuel HARRY POTTER sendiri telah beredar di pasaran sejak satu dekade lalu. Diperankan oleh Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint dan Emma Watson, film ini telah mencapai sukses di seluruh dunia.

"As soon as I got a microphone in my hand, when I was about 14, I realised I wanted to do this," she says. "Most people don't like the way their voice sounds when it's recorded. I was just so excited by the whole thing that I wasn't bothered what it sounded like." 

A fan of such diverse artists as Jill Scott, Etta James, Billy Bragg, Peggy Lee, Jeff Buckley and The Cure, Adele's soul-tinged songs of love's lost and memories made are set to resonate with all who hear them. 

"I've got no problem explaining what my lyrics are about," ADELE says. "I really like poetry: I'm not very good at reading it, but I love writing it. Singers like Jill Scott and Karen Dalton are amazing; proper poets." 

"My debut album is about being between 18 and 19; about love," she continues. "'Daydreamer' is about this boy I was in love with, like proper in love with. He was bi and I couldn't deal with that. All the things I wanted from my boyfriend, he was never going to be. I get really jealous anyway, so I couldn't fight with girls and boys. It's quite a sad album, [with songs about] being cheated on and not getting what you want". 

Anchoring it all together is ADELE's incredible voice. As immediate as it is undeniable, its power is matched only by her Force 10 personality. "I've always liked being the centre of attention, yes," she laughs. 

ADELE is from a resolutely un-musical family. "It all comes from impersonating The Spice Girls and Gabrielle," she cheerfully explains. "I did little concerts in my room for my mum and her friends. My mum's quite arty; she'd get all these lamps and shine them up to make one big spotlight. They'd all sit on the bed." Later, when her dad's best friend, a dance producer, rightly declared ADELE's voice 'wicked', he invited her to record a cover of 'Heart Of Glass'. The first time she got a microphone in her hand, she realised her calling. 

Secondary school proved instructive in as much as it gave ADELE an outlet to "meet all the R&B kids" and "sit around the playground singing." But it was a pretty rough place and pursuing music there was something of a challenge, on account of the fact that ADELE wanted to sing and perform her songs but "the teacher was a bit rubbish. They gave me a really hard time, trying to bribe me, saying that if I wanted to sing I had to play clarinet to sing in the choir. So I left." 

So ADELE upped sticks, signing up to The Brit School, the Selhurst college whose alumni number Amy Winehouse, members of The Feeling and Kate Nash. However she had her misgivings, 

"If I hear someone's from stage school I'd think they were a dickhead, and I know it might make me sound like that. But it had free rehearsal rooms and free equipment and I was listing to music all day, every day for years. The music course was really wicked. There was no dancing or anything like that. No jazz hands." 

During her second year, ADELE's resolve to be a singer was given a little extra boost – Shingai Shoniwa, the turbo-lunged vocalist with The Noisettes moved in next door. "She's an amazing singer. I used to hear her through the walls. I'd go round and we'd jam and stuff like that. Just hearing her and her music really made me want to be a writer and not just sing Destiny's Child songs. " 

Despite being quick off the mark on MySpace – her friend set up a page for ADELE's music on the last day of 2004 – it wasn't until 2006 that labels started noticing her talent. "I'd hate people to think that I was a 'MySpace singer'," she says. "I've got no right to be that. I've got, like, 10,000 'friends', whereas Jack Peñate's got about one million," 

When XL called her in for a meeting, ADELE was nervous enough to take a chum with her. 
"I never, ever thought I'd get signed. The A&R guy emailed me and I was ignoring it, I didn't realise they [XL] did all these amazing names," 

Despite interest from plenty of other labels, the independent regarded for its one-off, defining acts (for rock band, see The White Stripes; for rapper, see Dizzee Rascal) proved the perfect match for her one-off talent, and XL will put out ADELE's stunning debut album "19" early next year. A single, the beautiful heartbreaker, 'Chasing Pavements' will precede it. 

Before that comes ADELE's debut release on Jamie T's Pacemaker Recordings label, 'Hometown Glory' – a stunningly evocative picture of "all my fondest memories of London". 'Daydreamer', a remarkable ballad notable for lyrics like 'feeling up his girl like he'd never felt her figure before' and 'he could change the world with his hands behind his back' has already floored the audience on the prestigious 'Later With Jools Holland'. 

"I don't know what's going to happen if my music career goes wrong," she laughs. "I haven't had a proper job yet." 

Consider that one unlikely turn of events.
